Working in the Midst of Covid

Many people have been facing a hard time with this pandemic. For some of us it may be emotional, physical, or mental but for many individual it is the financial hardship that we have to overcome. As we are stuck inside with our significant others, children's, pets and cats and with many gyms closed some of us has gain weight and some of that weight might be because a new life is going to be brought to this world. All I am asking of you is to not name your kids after Covid. I started a new job right before corona hit and we were sent directly home. At the beginning working from home was exciting but as time progress the excitement died and anxiety kicked in. I was working from home in a new city where I have had not the chance to make any friends and everyday the walls kept closing on me. Eventually I had to make the tough decision of seeking employment somewhere else. Although the pay was a lot less, my happiness means more to me than making money. In saying all this, is that if you are not happy working at home or any place do not punish yourself. Do not let it get to the point were you have to stop yourself from crying because at the end of the day you can always find another job.

I will always be grateful that I have been able to stay employed through this pandemic. To those that are still facing difficulty finding employment, please do not give up, do not give up.

So now I am working at a job, where I get to wake up every morning and get dress. The feeling of getting into my car and leaving home to go to work makes it worth it. It separates my home from my work. Although it has been only a couple of days, I will make the best of this opportunity. I am going to miss being at home for my babies (Rocky & Luna) but me coming home to them everyday is going to be a good different from. The joy to see that tail wagging and the little dance Rocky does. Lastly, at a time like this, the only thing we can do is be positive to yourself and others.

XOXO,

Kayleigh
